Beaded Yellow Ornament
Materials: Bedspread weight cotton thread, size 10, size 7 hook; 16 4 mm shiny white beads (or seed beads)
Size: Approximately 2 3/4 inches across
Chain 7, join with slip st to form a ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 8, dc in ring, (ch 5, make a beaded dc in ring) 6 times, ch 2, slide a bead down close to the thread, make a slip st in 4th ch of beginning ch-8.
Rnd 2: Ch 8, dc in the top of the next beaded st, (ch 5, dc in next beaded st) 6 times, ch 5, dc in the 3rd ch of beginning ch-8. 8 loops made.
Rnd 3: Slip st in th next loop, * (sc, ch 7, sc) in the next ch-5 loop, ch 2, dc in next dc, ch 2, repeat from * around, ending with ch-2, slip st in the beginning sc.
Rnd 4: Slip st in the next ch-7 loop, (ch 1, dc) twice in the same ch-7 loop.
Make a beaded dc, (ch 1, dc) 3 times in the same ch-7 loop. *(Ch 1, sc in the next ch-2 loop) twice. In the next ch-7 loop make [(ch 1, dc) 3 times, ch 1, beaded dc, (ch 1, dc)] 3 times, Repeat from * around, ending with an sc in the last ch-2 loop, slip st into the next dc.
HANGING LOOP: Chain 30, slip st in the next ch-2 loop, finish off.

Chain 33
Row 1: Sc in the 2nd chain from the hook and in each chain across, turn (32)
Row 2: Chain 3, skip the first sc, dc in next sc and in each sc across, dc in top of ch-3; turn. (32)
Row 3: Chain 3, skip first dc, dc in each dc across, dc in top of ch-3; turn. (32)
Row 4: Chain 3, skip first dc, * skip next dc, dc in next 2 dc. With the hook in front of the last 2 dc made, dc in the skipped dc enclosing the last 2 dc – Crossed dc made; repeat from * to the last stitch; dc in top of ch-3; turn. (10 Crossed dc made)
Row 5 & 6: Chain 3, skip first dc, dc in the next dc and in each dc across,
Dc in the top of ch-3; turn. (32)
Row 7: Repeat Rows 4-6 to the desired length, ending with Row 6.
Round 1: At the end of Row 1, Ch 1, sc in the same stitch, sc evenly
around the scarf, working 3 sc in each corner; join with sl st to the first sc.
Finish off, weave in ends.

Round 5: Ch 3, dc in next 4 dc, 2 dc in next dc, * dc in next 5 dc, 2 dc in next dc; repeat from *, sl st to first dc to join. (56)
